3 Month Job Search Package
This package is excellent for someone who knows their next career move and would benefit from career coaching and documents to help them achieve their goal. The program consists of 13, 50-minute weekly meetings held over the course of three months. Services and documents include:
- Coaching program goal setting – what do you want to achieve during these 3 months? What will success look like and feel like when you achieve it?
- The Myers-Briggs Step II assessment and debrief – what is your personality preference and what strengths and weaknesses do they bring to the job search? Knowing your personality preference will help me adapt my style to you and we will validate it against your career choice.
- Resume review and enhancement or writing it from scratch. The Work Shop resume utilizes a get-results format and emphasizes results-based accomplishments.
- LinkedIn Profile optimization and support in building and leveraging a network to achieve your goals (and help others).
- Marketing plan creation – together we will develop a multi-pronged approach to letting the right people know what you are seeking, and how they can help.
- Networking Advice – learn how to build a network of professionals that will help you achieve your career goals (as you help them achieve their goals).
- Handbill creation – a handbill is a one-page document that you will share with your network so they know exactly what kind of work and company you are looking for and how they can help. Instead of saying, “Let me know if hear of anything in accounting” this document will give them the specific information they need to support you.
- Cover letters – yes, a cover letter can help your resume get noticed if you write them correctly.
- Phone interview practice and feedback – build your skills and confidence and be invited to move forward in the next step of the interview process.
- Coaching on how to approach pre-employment assessments, simulations and providing work samples.
- Interview practice and feedback – one or more practice sessions with clear feedback on what you did well, and what you should improve. The interview will be recorded so we can assess and improve non-verbal communication.
- Thank you notes – while many people don’t bother with a thank you note, they are a great way to stand-out against the competition.
- Coaching on how to negotiate an offer – learn the right questions to ask before you accept a job offer, and how to ask them. Understand how to evaluate an offer and make a counter-offer.
- Onboarding plan creation – sure, your new company will have an onboarding plan for you but because you want to accelerate your success and performance, you will take charge and develop your own plan.
2 Month Career Exploration Package
This package is perfect for someone who wants to make a career change or wants to start a career, but doesn’t know what they want to do. This program uses a combination of assessments and activities to identify options. Through coaching, reading and research, you will narrow down the options and decide on a career to pursue. This package consists of 9, 50-minute weekly meetings held over the course of two months. In order to achieve your program goals, you are expected to complete assignments between sessions. This program includes:
- A career interest / personality assessment and debrief
- A workbook with activities and a place to take notes on what you’ve learned about yourself and aspirations
- Recommendations for career research sites and how to use them
- Coaching on how to ask for and conduct informational interview
RESTORE: Healthy You, Healthy Career Package
This program is exclusively for professional women who are feeling exhausted and burned-out because they have been ignoring their own needs for too long in favor of serving their family, friends, colleagues and boss. The emphasis of this program is to restore energy and bring life back into your life. Since we spend so many hours per week at work, why not use this time to create a healthy you? RESTORE stands for the focus of our work:
- Rest / Sleep – this is first and foundational. Rest and sleep will support weight loss, clear thinking, energy, mood, and overall performance.
- Eating Whole – Food is information and what we put in our bodies sends signals to each and every one of our cells. Are the signals for life or are they dead at the cellular level?
- Stress Management – stress is a killer. It interferes with digestion, sleep, happiness and relationships. Effective management will lead to calm, clear thinking and decision making, innovation, focus and productivity, improved relationships and improved life expectancy.
- Toxicity – we need to reduce our toxic load for better brain function, improved weight management, hormone balance, etc. We will analyze your toxic exposure, whether that is from the foods you are eating, the water you are drinking, or the people around you.
- Office Optimization – we spend more time in our offices than any other room. Is your office optimized for a healthy workday? How will we make your office a place of restoration?
- Exercise / Movement – a body at rest is one step closer permanent rest! Exercise and movement support brain health through the production of BDNF, weight management, strength and injury prevention, mood and overall performance. We will explore ways of incorporating movement into your work day.
- Note: This program does not pretend to offer a quick-fix or miracle diet to drop 7 pounds in 7 days. Instead, we will focus on sustainable changes that will create a life of health and energy. Because of this approach, this program consists of 12, 50-minute meetings over the course of 6 months. At the start of the program, I will help you identify your 6-month goals and plan to achieve them.
The Work Shop Resume
The Work Shop Resume utilizes a specific format and emphasizes results-based accomplishments. This service consists of 3, 50-minute meetings and the production of a one or two-page accomplishment-filled resume.
Resume + Interview Preparation Package
The Work Shop Resume utilizes a specific format and emphasizes results-based accomplishments. Once the resume is finished and the accomplishments are noted on the resume, I will teach you how to strategically weave them into the answers you give during an interview. Knowing how to do this is imperative if the company uses behavioral interviewing. This package consists of 5, 50-minute meetings and the creation of a one or two-page accomplishment-filled resume.
Interview Preparation
Your dream company called you and they want to interview you for your dream job. This is great but you don’t want to leave it to chance. This service provides a mock interview (by a former recruiter) and debrief session to provide you with specific areas of strength and improvement. The interview will be recorded so that non-verbal communication will be assessed. This service consists of 2 meetings (1 60-minute mock interview and 1 90-minute coaching session).
